Janine & Nicolaas

Die Woud

It may be one of the biggest productions in our career

Janine and Nicolaas both worked in Tanzania at the time they contacted us.  Both working in the hospitality industry at a pop-up hotel…!  We knew we will have to pull out all the stops for this production… From day one we clicked with these two amazing people and loved every minute of brainstorming on this extraordinary event!  We created the concept proposal and prayed that they will like it!  Massive crystal chandeliers in the middle of a forest with ghost chairs and long dinner tables was the picture we had in our minds and hope that we can actually see the outcome.  We went all out with a dream picture.  And then the reply came…  “let’s go for it”.  I was like a kid in a candy store!  Did not know where to start and who to contact because of all the excitement.  Site inspections started and I can still remember the look on most of the service providers’ faces when arriving in an area in the middle of the forest with absolutely nothing but trees… But everyone was thrilled and excited to start working on executing this fairy tale in the middle of no-where! Needless to say we had the best providers working on this wedding… Something Different blew us away with a massive setup of crystal chandeliers and bistro lights.  The one truck after the other arrived on site containing all kinds of structures, plinths, dance floor and of course the carefully packaged massive chandeliers.  Malita Joubert Catering outdone herself by serving food from anything but a kitchen.  The pressure was on with the bride being a chef herself!  DJ Chopper made sure everyone was in a party mood and the dance floor was packed the whole evening!  Mother nature treated us so nice with not even a breeze in the forest.  Everything was perfect.  Janine & Nicolaas both looked breath taking in the setting and with their minds set in the right place you could see the love and excitement in their faces.  What a privilege it was to be part of this wedding.  Thank you Janine & Nicolaas for trusting us with this special event.  We wish you all the best of luck with your new venture at Die Woud.  [This very same setting where we had to create an event from nothing will now be a wedding venue run by this amazing couple themselves!]
