Antonia & Hilmar

Lelienfontein, Wellington [Private Venue]

We have been friends with Antonia and her family for quite some time and when we received the news that she is engaged we were extremely excited.  At the same time a little nervous as she was our first bride to describe her wedding in one word as ‘eco-friendly’.  The Bosman family are well known for their beautifully hand-crafted wines as well as their hand grafted vines.  Every year we plan events not their social calendar alongside this special family in Wellington, the town we are both lucky enough to call home. Their style so unique, timeless, sophisticated and unpretentious.  All this resembling their family values.

Antonia got married to Hilmar – all the way from Beaufort-West.  A real farm boy with a charm that caught Antonia by surprise.  When we saw them together for the first time we knew that this is Antonia’s future husband and that we are going to have the opportunity to host a love celebration for this deeply in love couple!  The planning was one big celebration already and with her mom being responsible for all the breath taking garden layouts on their farm we enjoyed working alongside her and her friend Mabel from Die Gieter to make sure that all flowers and plant material are indigenous and freshly picked.  We had mass flowers arriving that morning of the wedding and we had a ball getting everything together!  We could not have asked for a better day!  The weather was perfect and the guests were in a mood to party till the sunrise.  The ceremony was held in front of the historical manor house.  After the ceremony we had Stanislav lead the guests towards the pre drink area with an accordion.  With Antonia and Hilmar leading the group of almost 200 guests the perfect tone was set for this French inspired street march.  Arriving at the main gate Hilmar entered the code and the gates opened slowly as they entered the magical gardens of Mrs Bosman [SNR] – Antonia’s grandma.  The pre-drinks were under the oak tree that was planted on the wedding day of Antonia’s grandparents!!  How special is that?  The oldest son of the Bosmans performed a sabrage and the party was officially started.  The guests were welcomed into the dinner area which took the form of a green house.  You could SMELL the flowers when you entered the reception area!  The rest of the night was filled with celebration of the love between this deeply in love couple!  Antonia and Hilmar… thank you SO much for trusting us with your wedding day.  We wish you years and years of happiness and love!
